Now that Mass Effect 2 is out in the US the internet is being bombarded with reviews and other things that will more than likely spoil the game for me so I’m going into Mass Effect 2 blackout mode. The other part of me wants to read the reviews and be vindicated in my purchase, but I just know reviewers can’t help themselves.
Just three more days and I’ll be playing but in the meantime I’m powering on through the original game. This time I’m doing all the sidequests that I can find so it’s taking me slightly longer than my first play through. I really like that the side quests add a lot to the world rather than nothing as I’d read.
Anyway, 3 days!
I’ve read a few reviews and most have spoilers in, how stupid is that? Glad I’m not getting it really.
Still I’m sure you are aware it’s basically being called one of the greatest games ever.
You’re not getting it? Why?
Uffff you know… A few reasons.
Unfortunately one of the biggest right now is that sitting in front of the consoles / tv causes too much pain to do for 40mins+ so I keep my console gaming to action stuff really (and yes, just imported the GOWcollection).
Plus, and I hate to admit it, I’m not a huge fan of scifi rpg. I had ME1 but never finished it.
You’ll be glad to hear that Mass Effect 2 is organised into missions that can be done seperately without the need for extended play-sessions (even though you will want to keep playing).
Also, it looks and runs significantly better on PC than the original.
Unfortunately my PC is now 2 years old… which means it plays MMOs like a god and everything else like sludge!
