I really enjoyed the Noblegarden event this year. I refer to it in the past tense as I am now titled-up and done. Now for Children’s Week.
I should really stay away from spoiler sites but this weeks season 3 finale for Heroes is supposed to… well, I won’t say.
As I’ve already mentioned, Heroes has been lacking this season for me. It has felt like the show has been meandering from plot point to plot point to some kind of conclusion, though I’m not certain I will care by the time it arrives. Where previous seasons have dealt with character crises in multi-episode arcs, this season has dispensed with that and taken the easier (ie shittier) route of:
Last week he was loving shape shifting, this week he has an identity crisis
Now his ex-wife is back, lucky we killed off the fling
and such stuff.
Even worse is that they’ve got characters revisiting emotional plot points that have already been used (to death). Hello? Haven’t we been here already? I honestly can’t imagine how the show could possibly be rescued from the pit of mediocrity it has dug itself into.
Lost on the other hand, I simply cannot wait to see this weeks episode with Faraday back I presume a lot of things are about to happen. Actually, I kinda know what it is already (damn spoiler sites tempting me) but the knowing hasn’t reduced my excitement.
I’ve finally figured out what it is about Fringe that I might not like. It reminds me of X-files in that each week you never know if you’ll be seeing something that matters to the overall story or some pointless side-thing. I hope this weeks episode doesn’t go off on some unrelated tangent.
Exwife? Who’s? (confused now). I love heroes, don’t ask me why. I think the characters have the right mix from the hilarious Hiro to the delightfully evil Sylar, the never-know-which-way-he’s-going Noah to the more normal ones like Parkman.
That said, I can’t stand the cheerleader. Oh, why is the only one who can’t die, the one I wish would?
Fringe is very xfiles, but I like it more because of the overall arc.
It was Matt Parkman’s ex-wife I was talking about and I completely agree with you about the cheerleader. What a whiny bitch!
Ah of course.
Actually, this might show me why I enjoy it and you don’t…
When it comes to TV, I never ever think about it outside of the time it is going into my eyes. Sometimes Isabel will say something like “What do you think… ” or “how do you think it will go…” regarding some show or other and I honestly never do. Well, ok, I gave some thought to BSG, but only because the entire world did. Other shows, uh uh.
So, your answer is simple: think less, enjoy more!
Hi Ben – Maybe I’m grabbing the wrong RSS feed from you, because Bloglines is not getting your updates. I came onto your site and there’s a ton of new posts. Woohoo.
p.s I also have the Noble title (can you believe it?).
Your dps is now officially amazing btw!
@Kevin – You might be onto something there. I spend far to much time dwelling on the weekly goings on of the losties.
@dfv – Grats on the title! Btw my feed is http://www.maimearai.net/feed/ which seems to work. Let me know if it isn’t working.
After much trial and error I’ve come to realise that Unholy presence is terrible for dps and am now doing everything in blood. I don’t really understand why unholy and blood don’t equate to the same dps but they don’t.
Blood presence gives:
+15% dmg and 4% healing.
Unholy presence gives:
+15% movement spd, +15% atk spd, -50% global cooldown, -10% rune cooldown.
(I already have the +15% movement speed increase, which is the maximum possible, via talents)
Shouldn’t +15% dmg = +15% atk spd?
Also, now that they’ve removed the auras for DK presences I’m really unsure what the use of unholy presence is if I am specced into unholy.
I think I’ve now collected about 500 chocolate eggs if not more and have those tuxedo pants dropped? Oh no. But I do have about 5 pets, about 8 tuxedo shirts, a bazillion spring robes and so on… grrrrrrr
That situation you’re describing is one I’ve always found myself in for every recent event which might go towards explaining why I didn’t get any of the other titles.
I just got lucky this time, here’s hoping you do too!
